No More Excuses

 I feel like an idiot for not updating as much as I used to. It's not like I have a shortage of material to draw about, what with work, Zia and I getting together (finally), and other random things. I guess I haven't updated due to a combination of laziness, lack of motivation, and complete physical exhaustion.
 But I have told myself that I should at least try to get around to inking the comics I made over the summer before making new ones. I want to make a strip about how Zia and I got together and have that be as many pages long as it needs to be, because I don't want to scrimp on those details :3

Anyway, I can't promise much of anything, because I don't have any active readers and why bother updating if I don't have any readers? Well, because I need this. I need to prove to myself that I have the discipline to actually do what I love for a living.

So expect new/old comics within the next couple of days, whoever reads this.

I don't even care if I have no readers anymore xD

I am going shopping for my Halloween costume today. I am going to be a Lady Plague Doctor. Not a SLUTTY plague doctor, but a classy one in a long black dress and a fishnet shirt. I can't wait.

Birthday Weekend

Rise: Super fun. I'm staying all night next weekend. BTW the thing Zia is chewing on is a Red Bull can.
Saturday: I was singing My Little Pony songs in the car and I think Kevin and Tyler had aneurysms. The "PARP" thing is referencing a post in Allie's blog Hyperbole and a Half.
The Totally Nude Ladies building was in a plaza that had a comic book store, a pawn shop, a tattoo parlor, and a fireworks store. It was also next to a graveyard. Yes. EPIC.

It doesn't matter who ended it. It doesn't matter if you both agree to stay friends. It doesn't matter that you know all the feelings of self-hatred and sadness are annoying and stupid and you'll look back on it and laugh about it later.

It still really fucking hurts when your heart is ripped out and stomped on.

Luckily I'm kind of out of this phase now. 

I'm posting this in "honor" of the one year anniversary that would have happened today.

It's a part of the healing process for me, and I'm sorry if it offends anybody...

My review board happened, and it was the best one I've ever had, no joke. I got so much positive feedback and I found out my illustration teacher taught Nick Sagan at one point. Yeah, NICK SAGAN. Fuckin' rad :D

Bachelorette Party

So last night was Clover's bachelorette party. The night consisted of a lovely dinner at Pho Pasteur, and then going across the way to Centerfolds for some naked entertainment. It was the first strip club I had ever been to and now my expectations for any other ones I will go to are set VERY high. One girl there, Nikki, had Sam, Clover and I enraptured because she actually pole danced instead of just twirling around it, and she had a really cute smile, AND was the epitome of gorgeous.
'Twas a good night. I think I want to go back for my birthday this year XD

Oh, and my hair is all one color now. I had to dye it for a job interview. Oh well.

I just realized I forgot to sign it! :shrug: Whatevs. You all know my artwork well enough, right? hehe...

I'm going through a lot of emotional malarky right now. It's also 30 days until my very last review board ever.
I'm terrified. I'm holding myself together, but I'm still terrified.

I don't even remember the last time I drew an illustration or a comic. All I've been doing recently has been abstract watercolor/drawing stuff and knitting. 


Not like that's a bad thing, I like abstract, and I LOVE making books so much.


Still, I miss being able to have the mind capacity for doing lots of stuff at once, even while on my ADHD medication.

Well, it wasn't really a "date", but this morning I was listening to music on Steve's computer and he was listening to music on my iPod. It was fun!

I've been knitting like crazy, and spending lots of time with Steve, Nikolai and Ashley Wifey.
But interesting news! I got a scanner for Crimbus from my Dad, and I will probably start scanning in scribbles as well as comics when I actually get around to setting it up XD

Something a little different, mainly to show that I am capable of drawing something semi-realistically on the computer. This is also all I've been doing recently. Knitting, Netflix, reading, music, lather rinse repeat. Spend occasional nights out drinking with Steve, Nikolai and Ashley.

Old Long Sine Wave

Normally I hate making resolutions, because I prefer to live my life day to day, and plus the last two years I felt like "I feel like I want to die, so what's the point?".
But this year is different.
This year I am going to work harder than I ever have before, because I know where I want to go after school and I need to bust my ass in order to get a good portfolio together.

I am not going to mope (well, there may be days when it is inevitable)
I am going to stop being so hard on myself.
I am going to ask for critique like nobody's effing business

On a more funny note, last night was amazing. I got to hang out with Steve, Nikolai, and Nikolai's new squeeze, Ashley. I did tequila shots for the first time and HOLY FUCK wow. The guys could have gone to a party without us, but they stayed and took care of us and yeah.
Steve is pretty. I like him. A lot. Actually, I love him, but SHHHHH it's a secret!
